BINARY CAFE LOGO

At some point in early July, 1994, while living in Toronto, I read a short article in a small newsprint Toronto zine. It mentioned a strange little "cyber cafe" located on Yonge Street. Immediately, I recognized the opportunity to stop scamming time off of the U of T library systems to read my email. Plus, I could have a cup of coffee at the same time. Perfect.

The name of the establishment was The Binary Cafe and Hexadecimal Emporium. And these are some pages I have put together to pay hommage to what is the coolest cybercafe I have yet run across -- or probably ever will.
